Which is true. A weekend trip with my friend. Easy to find our way from the airport to the c ity centre. Exploring the old market place, eating raw and dried fish. Homeless people sleeping on the streets. Otherwise a nice city. Music at every corny. Cosy little restaurants, tea and coffee houses at every corner. Enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. Very unusual decorations. Mixed with Art Noveau. What a city!

Riga, die Perle des Nordens. Das stimmt. Ein Wochenendtrip mit meiner Freundin. Durch die engen Gassen, vorbei an Jugendstilbauten, ein Besuch der Markthalle. Und trotzdem spürt man die Armut und Traurigkeit. Menschen auf der Strasse setzen einen Kontrapunkt zu den modernen witzigen Cafés und Restaurants. Strassenmusiker und Bettler wandern vorbei, während wir ein Glas Wein in der Abendsonne genießen. Was für eine Stadt!
