… strange smells welcome the unprepared visitors. Homeless people everywhere. Otherwise an interesting town. Despite the fact that my car was broken in and the dashboard completely destroyed. But I managed to get home at last. With an awful lot of pictures.

.. schon beim Ankommen bemerkt man den seltsamen Geruch, der über der Stadt liegt. Obdachlose, Junkies an jeder Ecke. Eine interessante Stadt. Obwohl mein Auto aufgebrochen wurde. Aber gottseidank konnte es einigermaßen repariert werden, wie wär ich sonst heim gekommen?

Medieval Town welcoming me. Fascinating tower & church in the center of the city. Feels like being drawn back in time.

Das Mittelalter scheint zum Leben zu kommen. Als ob man einen Zeitreise macht. Faszinierend.

Montpellier – what a surprise. University city with flair. Medieval buildings, amicable people. Laissez faire at its best. Decide to hang around here longer.

Was für eine Überraschung: Montpellier. Eine entzückende Universitätsstadt, freundliche Menschen, gutes Essen. Hier könnte man einige Zeit verbringen!

Next stop Nice. Wonderful place, enjoying marvelous food & wine. Have to get olive oil with lemon flavor for a friend. The shop is just behind the opera. Going back to SanRemo via Monaco: The Palace, the harbor …. the Casino, of course.

Weiter geht’s nach Nizza. Ein wunderbarer Ort, köstliches Essen und Trinken. Olivenöl mit Zitronengeschmack. … Und dann auf nach Monaco, ins Casino natürlich.

Italy – France – Spain ….. Almost 14 days on the road. Passing through wonderful landscapes, taking in the culture of grand nations. And, of course, more than enough food & wine. First stop SanRemo. Beautiful old town. Relaxing after the long drive. I love the food, the wine, the people …. and my Italian car feels at home …

Italien, Frankreich, Spanien … fast 14 Tag unterwegs. Eindrucksvolle Landschaften, alte Kulturen und Traditionen. Und natürlich exzellentes Essen. Erster Stop in San Remo.
